What is a Wi-Fi gateway for?

A Wi-Fi gateway is used to connect your digital locks to the Internet, allowing you to access and control your lock from anywhere, even when you're away from home. By using a Wi-Fi gateway instead of connecting directly to your Wi-Fi network, your smart lock can conserve battery life, leading to longer-lasting performance. You may use the Wi-Fi gateway which we provide, or alternatively, you may use your own Wi-Fi gateway.

How do I pair the Wi-Fi gateway with my locks?

Ensure the following settings are in place before you proceed:

  • You have already paired your door lock and/or gate lock
  • Your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz
  • Your phone's Bluetooth is turned on
  • The Wi-Fi gateway is connected to a power source

Step 4: The application will search for Wi-Fi gateways to connect to, which may take up to 2 minutes. Please do not exit the application during this process

Step 5: Select your Wi-Fi gateway's unique network to be paired

Step 6: Select your Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz band only)

Step 7: Enter the password for your Wi-Fi network

Step 8: Your Wi-Fi gateway has been successfully added. On this page, you can also disconnect the gateway by sliding left

Step 9: Once your Wi-Fi gateway is connected, you no longer need to keep Bluetooth turned on. To verify that the gateway is successfully connected, turn off Bluetooth on your phone. You should still be able to control your locks without Bluetooth switched on
