PRISM+ Smart Lock: Quick Start Guide

Congratulations in your new PRISM+ Smart Lock! This guide will walk you through setting up and managing your smart lock for a seamless and secure experience 

 


 

A) Charging and Emergency Power (Jumpstart)


For optimal performance and safety, DO NOT use a fast charger (Type-C to Type-C) to charge
the battery or emergency power. Please follow these guidelines. Failure to follow these
instructions may impact battery performance or cause damage.

  1. Use only the provided Type-A to Type-C cable included in the package.
  2. Charge the battery using a charger rated between 5V 1A and 5V 2A

 

B) Adding a Mode of Access


Your PRISM+ Smart Lock offers multiple modes of access:

  1. Fingerprint

  2. Keypad
  3. Remote Unlock via PRISM+ Connect App
  4. Card Access
  5. Face Recognition (only applicable to Pro Models)

 

To set up a new access mode:

  1. Open the PRISM+ Connect App.
  2.  Go to 'Locks', select your Smart Lock, and tap '+ Create Access'.
  3.  Choose the type of access you want to add.
  4. Before clicking 'Start', ensure your Smart Lock’s keypad is active by tapping on it and
    checking that all numbers light up (Refer to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2).
  5.  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

    Note: After creating the access mode, allow 20 seconds for the lock to program (except for
    keypad pins)

For fingerprint access:

  •  When '1' lights up on the keypad, the system is registering your fingerprint.
  •  When '2' lights up, your fingerprint is successfully saved, and you can now use it.

 


 

C) Confirming Successful Access Creation

  • Upon successful setup, a pop-up confirmation will appear in your PRISM+ Connect App.
  • For fingerprint access, confirmation appears on the keypad:
    • '1' lights up during setup.
    • '2' lights up upon successful registration.


Tip: You can register the same finger multiple times to improve accuracy when unlocking.

 


 


D) Adjusting the Auto-Lock Timer
The PRISM+ Smart Lock features an auto-lock system to enhance security:

  1. The lock engages as soon as you close the door.
  2. If the door/gate is closed too quickly and the auto-lock doesn't engage, the system starts
    a timer and locks automatically after a set duration.


To adjust the timer:

  1. Open the PRISM+ Connect App and select your Smart Lock.
  2. Go to 'Lock Settings' and ensure 'Auto Lock' is enabled.
  3. Choose a timer duration between 5 to 30 seconds.

 


 


Troubleshooting FAQs

Q: What if the door/gate locks before I can close it?

A: If the lock engages prematurely, simply unlock it again using any access method you’ve set up.

Q: Why does my Smart Lock take time to lock back?
Answer: The lock uses two methods to re-engage:

  1. Door Sensing Switch: Locks automatically after the door is detected as closed (5
    seconds).
  2. Timer-Based Locking: If the door isn’t closed within 5 seconds, the timer takes over
    (configurable between 5–30 seconds). We recommend the timer to be set to 10 s.
