Guide to Google Assistant

Your PRISM+ Android TV (Q-Series) comes built-in with Google Assistant. You can turn it on when you first set up your device, or you can turn it on later.

For TV models Q55-QE PRO, Q65-QE PRO, and Q86-QE PRO please click here.

You will be able to activate the Google Assistant hands-free via the Far Field Mic located at the bottom of the TV.

  1. Ensure you have enabled the Google Assistant on your TV by going to the Home Page > Settings (located at the top right corner) > Devices Preferences > Google Assistant and turn it on.
  2. Ensure the Far-Field Mic switch is turned on. For Q55-QE PRO and Q65-QE PRO, the switch is located on the back-left (while facing the TV). For Q86-QE PRO, it is located at the bottom of the TV.
  3. Rename the TV according to your preference by going to Home Page > Settings (located at the top right corner) > Devices Preferences > About > Device Name. If you have multiple Android TVs, you will need to name each TV differently for example "Living Room TV", "Parent Bedroom TV", etc.
  4. After setting up the Google Assistant, you may start to give commands by saying "OK Google" followed by the request or action you want Google Assistant to do.
  5. Do take note you will have to specify the name of the TV for Google Assistant to perform the action. For example, if you name your TV "Living Room TV" the command to give will be "OK Google, turn off the Living Room TV".
