Android TV: Guide to Google Assistant

Your PRISM+ Android TV (Q-Series) comes built-in with Google Assistant. You can turn it on when you first set up your device, or you can turn it on later.

 For TV models Q55-QE PRO, Q65-QE PRO, and Q86-QE PRO please follow the steps below.

Enable Google Assistant

Ensure you have enabled the Google Assistant on your TV by going to the Home Page > Settings ( located at the top right corner) > Devices Preferences > Google Assistant and turn it on.

Enable Far Field Mic  
Ensure the Far-Field Mic  switch is turned on.

Q55-QE PRO and Q65-QE PRO 55AL and 65AL Q86-QE PRO
Rename the TV
Rename the TV according to your preference by going to Home Page > Settings ( located at the top right corner) > Devices Preferences > About > Device Name. If you have multiple Android TVs, you will need to name each TV differently for example "Living Room TV", "Parent Bedroom TV", etc. 
Using Google Assistant
After setting up the Google Assistant, you may start to give commands by saying "OK Google" followed by the request or action you want Google Assistant to do. 
Google Assistant Command
Do take note you will have to specify the name of the TV for Google Assistant to perform the action. For example, if you name your TV "Living Room TV" the command to give will be "OK Google, turn off the Living Room TV".

 For other Q-Series TV models, please follow the steps below.

Enable Google Assistant

Activating Google Assistant
To use Google Assistant on your Android TV, you will need to click on the Google Assistant button on the remote control and say the command.
Using Google Assistant
You may now start to give commands by saying "OK Google" followed by the request or action you want Google Assistant to do.

IMPORTANT

Turning your TV on and off using your voice requires a remote device linked to the same Google account on your TV.
